As far as we know, no one has found that mysterious Fountain of Youth. I’ve seen (even touched) many fountains, but not a one of them has done anything to turn back the wrinkles appearing on my face. Keeping our bodies mobile and flexible is also important for feeling young.
It’s much easier nowadays to overexert my joints than it was 20 years ago. The CDC states, “Mobility is fundamental to everyday life and central to an understanding of health and well-being among older populations.”(1) They go further to explain that impaired mobility is associated with a variety of adverse health effects that can happen as we get older. I’m betting, if you’re like me, you do not want to be part of that statistic.
WHQW (WomHealth.org.au) discusses how, obesity, which can create added stress on joints, is not only a bigger concern for boomers than the previous generation, but some boomers with ACTIVE lifestyles are also at risk by placing repetitive stress on their joints.(2) Oh my, there’s got to be a happy medium, right? YES, there is…
So what are some good steps to take to keep our joints feeling young? Gentle exercise can help with joint range of motion and flexibility – exercises that aren’t jarring to your joints (e.g. swimming and biking). Another beneficial step is adding a supplement that can help maintain joint comfort and flexibility. NEM® has been proven in multiple published studies to support joint mobility (comfort and flexibility) when measured at days 7 & 10.* NEM has also been found to support a healthy inflammatory response in healthy individuals.* For more information, check out our NEM® webpage.
