2021: A Year in Review

As we reflect on the past year, despite the many challenges and obstacles the pandemic has brought along the way, we celebrate the many successes our team has achieved: 

• Obtained registration of NEM in Brazil  

• Obtained approval of NEM in India 

• Obtained 1-day efficacy claim for NEM in Canada  

• On-boarded and launched LBiome, the Pioneer of Postbiotics  

• Nutrition Industry Executive awarded the NIE 2021 Award for the Condition Specific Category to LBiome 

• VitaSperse won Runner-Up for NIE’s Excipients/Non-Actives/Delivery Systems Category 

• NEM was a Nutraingredients-USA finalist for Ingredient of the Year: Sports Nutrition 

• Continued to successfully navigate employees and the company through uncharted waters of COVID-19 directives, guidance, mandates to provide a safe and healthy workplace 

• Industry’s first functional gummy supplement containing Ahiflower oil became available in August via Forest Remedies 

• Hired Alyssa Izzi as our new SW Region Accounts Manager 

• Successfully completed audits with no nonconformances: NSF, FDA, USDA, Kosher, and Halal 

• QA issued over 2,000 cleaning records resulting in 340 line clearances prior to production 

• QC Lab conducted over 14,000 tests prior to releasing 440 lots of packaging, raw materials, and finished products 

• Successful implementation of overnight sanitation shift, improving efficiency in our operations 

• Implementation of local service projects to help support our local community through quarterly dinners, end-of-year food drive, and participating in United Way’s “Day of Caring”  

• Successfully brought on multiple new customers 

• Presented NEM and LBiome during SupplySide West 

• Brought Marketing under Product Management giving the ability to create and execute well-received ingredient advertising and education 

• Presented several successful webinars on NEM and LBiome 

• Sponsored multiple industry events  

• Built strong relationships with trade publication contacts  

• Launched a women-centric NEM ingredient strategy 

• Continued to educate the industry on postbiotics through ingredient downloads, articles, social posts, etc.  

• Successfully attended SupplySide West and established our presence through networking and a new booth design 

• And so much more!
