Stratum Nutrition has dedicated Research and Development lab space at Bio-Research & Development Growth (BRDG “bridge”) Park at the Danforth Plant Science Center, located near our US Headquarters. These facilities provide a dedicated space to conduct basic research and applications testing in various food and beverage matrices and dietary supplement formats.

The decision to utilize the space from BRDG was to create a synergy and symbiotic relationship with existing companies. “The presence of these labs within the BRDG Park allows us to strengthen our relationship with Danforth Plant Science Center and other companies that have a common interest in addressing the world food challenges,” comments Ibrahim Abou-Nemeh, Director R&D, Product Discovery. BRDG is a LEED Gold facility featuring world-class wet laboratories, office space and on-site workforce development and training. BRDG Park’s location on the campus of Danforth Center facilitates access to the intellectual capital of top scientists, as well as to greenhouse, growth chambers, microscopy and proteomics facilities and other vital resources. The labs will help build the foundation for food applications, dietary supplements, and new product technologies.

Our European Headquarters encompasses food and beverage product development lab space and offices for sales, marketing, and technical staff. Located in the new Business Center for Innovation and Development (CEPID) within the Tecnoparc of Reus, Spain - the Center is designed to ensure a continued and sustained support of research activities and development of businesses related to techniques and biotechnology tools, especially in the areas of the park such as health and nutrition.

The food and beverage laboratory allows Stratum to partner with companies in the industry to collaborate on new product development, applications and quality problem solving, innovative and advanced delivery systems and solutions working primarily with carotenoids and nutritional ingredients. As a Novus International business, Stratum has a strong background in application work and technical services. Our lab utilizes equipment and capabilities in order to be a product applications solution provider. We have brought in a High-pressure Homogenizer, Turbiscan Real-time Emulsion Stability Monitoring, Particle Size Analyzer, Spectrophotometer, Viscometer and Rheometer, and UHT and HTST units to help customers work through product development pains.
